Just Friends
Saw this last night. Dont know if anyone has seen it yet but i thought it was hilarious. Very random in places, especially with the blonde it/popstar girl. It is definatly a film to watch if you want an easy thought free evening. Paul wanted to see jarhead, but i thought that a film all about war and depression would not be so much fun in the middle of exams. Why would we want to depress ourselves any more. Anyway the last time we saw something he wanted to see we saw Lord of War, probably the most depressing film i have ever watched. I came out wanting to destroy the world (I didnt). It was a good film in terms of it acheived its purpose. It was definatly a ‘reality bites’ kind of film.
Anyway, Just Friends, hilarious and definatly worth seeing.
Well I thought Just friends was good, hilarious in places but still a little weak in the plot sence. A ‘no brainer’ I suppose, but definatly entertaning! I did find myself laughing out loud (lol) frequently and was definatly a good middle-of-exams break.
Lord or War, however, was definatly the best film I saw last year! Also looking forward to Jarhead, which Katharine said we would see after the exams!
Jarhead seems like a bit of a “downer” to be honest. I know what you mean…

Just back from seeing Jarhead and I can honestly say that Just Friends sounds a lot more my cup of tea. It was a fantastic film and definately worth seeing but war films are so tense, depressing and looooong.
